2025-04-03x86: Correct msr operation on amd64Simon Glass
The CONFIG option is no-longer correct since we can have SPL and PPL with different bitness. Fix this and sync up with Linux 6.13 in this area, since this is where the code came from many years ago. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2024-07-15x86: Remove duplicate newlinesMarek Vasut
Drop all duplicate newlines. No functional change. Signed-off-by: Marek Vasut <marek.vasut+renesas@mailbox.org>
2023-01-18trace: Use notrace for shortSimon Glass
The attribute syntax is quite verbose. Use the macro provided for this purpose. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2018-05-07SPDX: Convert all of our single license tags to Linux Kernel styleTom Rini
When U-Boot started using SPDX tags we were among the early adopters and there weren't a lot of other examples to borrow from. So we picked the area of the file that usually had a full license text and replaced it with an appropriate SPDX-License-Identifier: entry. Since then, the Linux Kernel has adopted SPDX tags and they place it as the very first line in a file (except where shebangs are used, then it's second line) and with slightly different comment styles than us. In part due to community overlap, in part due to better tag visibility and in part for other minor reasons, switch over to that style. This commit changes all instances where we have a single declared license in the tag as both the before and after are identical in tag contents. There's also a few places where I found we did not have a tag and have introduced one. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2016-09-23treewide: replace #include <asm/errno.h> with <linux/errno.h>Masahiro Yamada
Now, arch/${ARCH}/include/asm/errno.h and include/linux/errno.h have the same content. (both just wrap <asm-generic/errno.h>) Replace all include directives for <asm/errno.h> with <linux/errno.h>. 2015-04-30x86: Add functions to set and clear bits on MSRsSimon Glass
Since we do these sorts of operations a lot, it is useful to have a simpler API, similar to clrsetbits_le32(). Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>
2014-11-25x86: Drop some msr functions that we don't supportSimon Glass
These are not available in U-Boot as yet, so drop them. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
2014-11-21x86: Add msr read/write functions that use a structureSimon Glass
It is convenient to be able to adjust MSRs with a structure that splits the two 32-bit halves into separate fields, as they are often dealt with separately. Add a few functions to support this. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

2013-06-26x86: Support tracing functionSimon Glass
Some changes are needed to x86 timer functions to support tracing. Add these so that the feature works correctly. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>

Imported from Linux 3.1 with a few modifications to suit U-Boot Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org>
