Currently, the bind callback of the driver namely am65_cpsw_nuss_bind()
registers all ethernet ports including the ones that have been disabled
in the device-tree. Since the ports that have been disabled are ought to
be ignored, fix the implementation to register only the enabled ports as
indicated by their 'status' in their respective device-tree node.

The am65-cpsw driver currently sets the SEL_RGMII_IDMODE flag in a MAC's
mode register to enable or disable the TX delay. While this was supported
for earlier generations of the CPSW controller, the datasheets of all
modern TI SoCs using the am65-cpsw MAC state that the TX delay is fixed,
and the SEL_RGMII_IDMODE bit is documented as reserved in most of them.
Furthermore, while it was found that this bit does in fact disable the TX
delay, [1] states that this setting is truly unsupported by TI and not
just undocumented.
Following the clarification of the rgmii* phy-mode values in the Linux
DT bindings in [2], the Linux am65-cpsw driver was changed in [3] to
account for the fixed TX delay by fixing up the mode passed to the PHY
driver; a similar fixup already existed in the TI icssg-prueth driver.
[4] followed up on this by explicitly clearing the SEL_RGMII_IDMODE flag
to handle the case where it is set by the bootloader or other firmware
before Linux.
With the above changes, Device Trees that set the recommended "rgmii-id"
mode are now appearing in Linux 6.17+. Avoid setting the unsupported
SEL_RGMII_IDMODE flag for such Device Trees, and instead fix up the PHY
interface mode, thus aligning the U-Boot driver with the Linux kernel.

Update the ICSSG PRU Ethernet driver to read PRU/RTU/TXPRU firmware names
from the Device Tree using the "firmware-name" property, instead of relying
on the hard-coded firmware names. The firmware names are parsed during
prueth_probe() and stored in the prueth->firmwares for each slice. The
driver now uses these dynamically loaded names when starting the PRU cores.
This change improves flexibility and allows firmware selection to be
controlled via the device tree, making the driver more adaptable to
different platforms and firmware configurations.

Currently, the phy_config() API is invoked by the driver only once since it
has been probed. While this works in general, it doesn't allow the driver
to bring the PHY back to its default reset state. As a result, the driver
might not be able to recover the PHY from a bad state. To address this,
move phy_config() into the driver's start callback (am65_cpsw_start()).
Apart from providing the means to recover the PHY in the event of failure,
the implementation is in line with the idea of "reset and configure" that
is already followed by am65_cpsw_start() when it comes to programming the
CPSW MAC.

The eth-uclass state machine doesn't prevent imbalanced start()/stop()
calls - to the contrary, it even provides eth_init_state_only() and
eth_halt_state_only() functions that change the state without any calls
into the driver. This means that the driver must be robust against
duplicate start() and stop() calls as well as send/recv calls while the
interface is down.
We decide not to print error messages but just to return an error in the
latter case, as trying to send packets on a disabled interface commonly
happens when the netconsole is still active after the Ethernet has been
halted during bootm.

Introduce ICSSG PRUETH support in uboot. The ICSSG driver is used in TI
AM654 SR2.0.
The ICSSG PRU Sub-system runs on EMAC firmware. This series Introduces
support for ICSSG driver in uboot.
This series has been tested on AM65x SR2.0, and the ICSSG interface is
able to ping / dhcp and boot kernel using tftp in uboot.
To use ICSSG2 ethernet, the ICSSG firmware needs to be loaded to PRU RPROC
cores and RPROC cores need to be booted with the firmware. This step is
done inside driver similar to kernel.
The remoteproc driver uses request_fw_into_buf() API from fs-loader driver
to load and start rproc with the required firmwares.
This series only introduces driver files. The device tree and config
changes to enable ICSSG driver will be introduced later.

This is the PRUSS Ethernet driver for TI AM654 SR2.0 and later SoCs with
the ICSSG PRU Sub-system running EMAC firmware. ICSSG Subsystem supports
two slices per instance. This driver caters to both slices / ports of
the icssg subsystem.
Since it is not possible for Ethernet driver to register more than one
port for a given instance, this patch introduces top level PRUETH as
UCLASS_MISC and binds UCLASS_ETH to individual ports in order to support
bringing up more than one Ethernet interface in U-Boot.
Since top level driver is UCLASS_MISC, board files would need to
instantiate the driver explicitly.

The binding represents the MDIO controller as a child device tree
node of the MAC device tree node.
The U-Boot driver mostly ignores that child device tree node and just
hardcodes the resources it uses to support both the MAC and MDIO in a
single driver.
However, some resources like pinctrl muxing states are thus ignored.
This has been a problem with some device trees that will put some
pinctrl states on the MDIO device tree node, like the SK-AM62 Device
Tree does.
Let's rework the driver a bit to create a dummy MDIO driver that we will
then get during our initialization to force the core to select the right
muxing.

The different CPSW sub-system Ethernet ports have different PHY mode
control registers. In order to allow the modes to get configured
independently only the register for the port in question must be
accessed, otherwise we would just be re-configuring the mode for port 1,
while leaving all others at their power-on defaults. Fix this issue by
adding a port-number based offset to the mode control base register
address based on the fact that the control registers for the different
ports are spaced exactly 0x4 bytes apart.

In certain TI SoCs, on the CPSW and ICSS peripherals, there is
a possibility that the MDIO interface returns corrupt data on
MDIO reads or writes incorrect data on MDIO writes. There is also
a possibility for the MDIO interface to become unavailable until

The workaround is to configure the MDIO in manual mode and disable the
MDIO state machine and emulate the MDIO protocol by reading and writing
appropriate fields in MDIO_MANUAL_IF_REG register of the MDIO controller
to manipulate the MDIO clock and data pins.
